Those who are in search of sea, sand and sun will find paradise in Fuerteventura and it's 100 or so beaches. There are the popular major tourist resort beaches such as Grandes playas in Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste town beaches, but there are also many quiet coves and smaller beaches, with golden sand and calm waters, where you can find a spot just for yourself.
Here are the most popular beaches in Fuerteventura.
Corralejo
Each beach in Corralejo has a different vibe: some offer the best surfing in Fuerteventura, along with other water sports, such as windsurfing and kite-boarding. Other beaches are more ideal for relaxation or families. The ones closer to the town are more sheltered from wind so are more for families and sunbathers. They have bars, cafes and public toilets. The further north east along the coast you go the wind picks up and its here you can find the surfers paradise. In the north of the island you’ll find the famous beaches of Corralejo. They spread out along the north and north east coast and into the Natural Dune Park. Its tranquil waters are perfect for bathing and the blue is aqua marine due to the white sand and shallow waters. The highlight of this area is the Dunes of Corralejo Park, an amazing view of sand dunes, similar to the Sahara Desert. The beaches here are organised and offer all the necessary services. There are local surf schools, paddle board/windsurf hire.

Cotillo
The fishing village of El Cotillo has a huge windy surfers beach on the left side and a sheltered blue lagoon bay to the right side. These very contrasting beaches cater for all types of beach lovers. Wether you like lazy days soaking up the sun or are into water sport action. There is a nice cafe/bar in the lagoon area and many resturants in the village centre and especially around the harbour.

Sotavento
Situated in the Jandia municipality this is a wind surfers favourite. It has white sand and aqua marine blue waters.
Mirador de Sotovento is a water sport hot spot and sunbathers paradise.

Sotavento is one of Fuerteventura’s most famous beaches and and is situated in the South of Costa Calma. It is a windy beach that changes dramatically with the shift of the tides, becoming very expansive in low tide and leaving only a long and curvy strip of sand in high tide. Because there aren’t many hotels in the area very few people tend to be here, except for windsurfers and kite-boarders. There aren't any services here as its a natural beach. There is a life guard. You can travel around the coast to Costa Calma resort where there are bars and restaurants.
The coast in Pájara
The Pájara coast has many small beaches, it is in south of the Island. There is 70 km of extensive and beautiful, sandy beaches. One of which is Costa Calma. The water here tends to be very calm, which makes it ideal for familie
Gran Tarajal
Gran Tarajal. Found in the center of the island it’s an urban beach mainly visited by locals. The restaurants in the surrounding area offer fantastic sea food. This is a real Majoero beach no tacky tourist shops. This is real Fuerteventura. Las Playitas below is 10 minutes drive from Gran Tarajal.

Caleta de Fuste

Next on the list is purpose built Caleta de Fuste, a town built around a long, horseshoe-shaped bay. The beach has a soft slope towards the water and is protected from an waves and currents. Its a well planned beach front with a palm lined promiade , cafes, shops, go kart and skooter hire. There is a water gym, boat hire and beach volley ball court.

Cofete....
For a real adventure and the most breathtaking views of any beach on the island you have to go to Cofete, a 5 km expanse on the Peninsula of Jandia. To get here one must travel up a rocky dirt road that leads you over the mountain, to the other side of the peninsula.
Once there, you’ll find yourself in a vast, dramatic landscape, with mountains that tower above the beaches below. This area is practically uninhabited, with virtually no tourists to be seen. The water here can be quite rough with currents so be careful when swimming.
