DUNE BUGGY NORTH SHORE TOUR
Dune Buggy’s famous North Tour Buggy excursion is a day trip to remember. An assault on your senses combining the thrill of driving our state of the art white buggies, a varied look at the natural wonders of the island & you’ll visit some of the best tourist beauty spots in northern Fuerteventura.

All the tours set out from Dune Buggy headquarters in the popular tourist town of Corralejo. When you arrive you´ll be greeted by the friendly tour guides who will talk you through the instructions for driving the buggy and of course all you need to know about health & safety. Then it´s all engines go as we head off in a white buggy convoy west of Corralejo.

We head along the protected eco path and we ride through real volcano country. Dusty and rocky with some great hill climbs its a genuine off road experience. Here nature is untouched and our first stop is the famous Corralejo volcano that is home to Fuerteventura chipmunk squirrels. They are often interested to come out of hiding when they hear the buggys as they know this means feeding time. Kids and adults to love this first stop in the tour as you can be lucky enough to have the squirrels eating out of your hand. Dune buggy provides the squirrel food - tasty sunflower seeds... some of tour tour guides are also partial to them ha ha..... The volcano is an impressive sight looming over you and a great camera opportunity.

The tour then continues over the hills and down the valley towards the UNESCO world heritage sand dune sight... we cross a dry river bed (in winter the water returns so wear your water proofs!). Clients love this part of the excursion as the scenery is stunning and the buggies are such fun to drive on the sandy tracks.
Leaving the sand dunes behind we head on road through the trendy surfers village of Lajares and on to Cotillo fishing village for a stop for somenthing to eat or sightseeing around the town or swimming if you wish. Cotillo was once a tiny fishing hamlet but has expanded a bit in recent years. It’s still managed to keep its slow pace of life and originality. You won’t find a McDonalds in sight, all the restaurants are unique and local owned. We make a pits stop at the great Aguayre restaurant that is situated right at the harbour front overlooking the cliffs and wide surf beach. It offers an array of dishes from local Canarian cuisine to Italian and even Mexican. It’s a pleasant rest point from the adrenalin filled buggy drive.

After lunch you will head along the coast of El Cotillo and stop next to the stunning aqua blue lagoons and faro lighthouse. Spot the locals windsurfing and swimming and the unique black volcanic rock formations next to the platinum pale sand set to a back drop of aqua marine blue waters its truly breath taking.
The last leg of our tour carries on through the sandy lanes off-road to the mini fishing settlement Majanicho. It’s a traditional place where time stands still and comprises of a few fishing huts and boats and regular campers. Its true unspoilt Fuerteventura.
